cabling query

Can someone confirm if my thesis is correct...

If i were to purchase a mouse receiver could i get a cable that did the following.

Plug into fag lighter?
Power the PDA (hp2210)
Power the receiver mouse
and transfer data between mouse and pda?

This way i could leave the mouse positioned and permanently plugged in and just put my pda in when necessary.

Right now i have a fortuna BT receiver and was concerned over power consumption if leaving it permanently plugged in.

Yes but you need to buy a mouse that can supply the cables.

You can also connect car power permanently to your BT GPS if you have the right cables.
