Hi
I am thinking about putting a docking station in car to charge and hold my TT One V2 - http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=A111TTTTONEV2CRADLE

The docking station comes with a permanently connected USB cable. I already have a charger for another device that plugs into the cigarette lighter and has a USB socket on top. It supplies 5v 500ma. Will this connector supply enough current to charge the TT? I can see that the TT supplied car charger is rated at 2 amps. But the TT does also charge from my laptop USB port, and as far as I can tell the max output for a USP port is 500ma. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Yes you're right on all counts.
If a device is designed to charge from a USB socket, it MUST comply with the USB powering spec. which is limited to 500mA.
So the One should charge happily from any properly designed USB port. Note that cheap "bus-powered" USB hubs often will NOT be able to provide the full 500mA, or it will be shared between all the sockets.
