Hi all, this has probably been said before, but couldnt find anything about this particular error message i have.
I have copied from CD the Tom Tom Navigator which has WM2003 and WM2005 folders and a few others onto my 2gb sandisk card in my phone.
Problem now is that after selecting English my phone reads an error message saying this "device is not compatible with phone" and says continue then promptly shuts down...
Everyone i have spoken to say that they have apparently heard it will work and on this forum people have said that they got their's working but i can't for the life of me know what i must do to get this working.
Any help would be greatly appreaciative.
Thanks Hilary |

Hi Mike, i have just been told that it is version 6. I take it by your expression that this is bad and therefore will not work ...

I wouldn't say its "bad" but the SPVc500 is not on the officially supported devices list, that said it might work, but it might not - it simply means it is not tested and as such no support will be available from TomTom.
I am still confused by the bit mentioning a CD, and copying files from it to the device, can you identify what the file name was you copied to the phone - Mike |

Here goes, first folder is tomtom then another folder tomtom 6.02-7910 then there are two folders WM2003 and WM2005 with two other files tt602wm2k3ifalleni and ttn602wm5ifalleni. In the two folders is the TOMTOM Navigator files with picture of what looks like two red hands together which i presume is the programme.
You are talking to a complete numpty here i used to be quite good at this kinda stuff when i was younger
I can get so far on phone it all shows up as tomtom when i go into file manager and then storage card and choose tomtom, it will bring up tomtom screen then choose the language say yes and then it says device incompatible "continue" click on it and then shuts down.
I have tried to install the two files on phone but get so far again and then says it hasnt installed loads of mem on phone and storage card. |

The file names are a dead give away, this is illegal software - if you have bought this report the seller and demand your money back, if it was given to you free put it in the bin - Mike |
