Just hit a problem with receiving and storing texts on my TT GO 700
I received a text today, but it was not received on the TT but that is not the problem as I can manage this
I called up the text messages on the TT and read one, replied with a phone call to the caller and was told that he had sent that message to me 3 monthgs ago! - I can now remember this
The question is how can I delete text messages from the TT. I had cleared the texts on the phone OK and also updated the contact between the TT and the phone
Phone is a Sony Ericson K700i _________________ Furry Fred

On my TT700 when I look at the hard drive using Windows Explorer there is a folder called contacts
In this folder I have 5 files:-
called.txt
callers.txt
contacts.txt
inbox.txt
outbox.txt
I think you want to delete the inbox.txt

Mobile Phone ..
Phone Preferences ...
Delete ...
Be careful to check ONLY the items you want to delete - there are six choices and sometimes when I go there I find them all checked, so it would be a pain if you deleted your Phonebook. _________________ Dennis

Thanks Dennis.
I always felt my way was clumsy and that there would be a better way of doing it. _________________ RQ

Cheers RQ. Funny, isn't it? I think that must be one of the very few bits of help I've handed over which I haven't already received from somebody else on this site!! Shows how useful the site is - there's always someone out there with an answer. _________________ Dennis

I don't receive too many text messages in the car and have not used that bit of the menu. So hence my blunt instrument as opposed to your sophisticated approach.
You are right about others with answers - the depth of knowledge is quite amazing.
The other wonderful thing about the site is the race to get the answer first and then you discover you have omitted one little tip or hint. And.......they're in like a swarm of bees offering some further points.
