I have downloaded your database to my computer.
Do I have to copy the the unzipped files to TomTom HOME program to get it on my tomtom? If so how?
I have a tt one v2 europe.
I have tried to find the answer on your help but it tells me details of installation to tt HOME coming soon.
Hope you can help. |

Once unziped copy and paste the ov2 and the bmp file to your map folder called .'Western_Europe-Map'
You can do this using explora.
Dont forget to do a backup first then if you mess up you can go back
Also have a read here it should help

Think I have put cameras on tomtom but I can't see cameras.
I dont think safety cameras are a POI on my tomtom (they do not have a catogory) so how do I make them visible? and choose warning distance/ sound etc? |

Can you see the camera POI listed on the device if you select Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI? - you will have to scroll down through the list (typing PO shortens the list and makes it faster to locate the Pocketgps_uk_ POI files).
Have you used the TomTom Home or normal ov2 files, I would take a few minutes out to thave a read through This set-up guide, I appreciate it is for a different unit to the one you have, but with the exception of Text To Speech it should be able to help (All TomTom products are the same fortunately) - Mike |

Your camera POIs are no listed on my tt as a category when I look in "warn when near poi"
I installed HOME.
When I connect tt to computer and start HOME the cameras are visible on my computer in my device section under POIs. |

Yeh
The files downloaded are "pocket_uk_gatso_50" (bitmap image)
They are shown on tt HOME as "Western Europe-Map\pocket Uk Mobile 40" |

Have you 'enable' the cameras on the TomTom so you can see them on the map. Select them in your POI categories by going to: 'Change Preferences' then 'Manage POI' then 'Enable / Disable POI'
Select each POI in turn. |

If I go on my tt and "change preferences" Enable/disable pois" and scroll down there are no camera pois listed. Just the usual (airport, amusement park etc)
Although they are listed on my computer when my tt is connected under "my device"
Also when I go to "tomtom plus services" then "safety camera warnings" there is an icon "show safety cameras" but it is faded so not allowing me to access it. |

I put in the "western europe maps" folder which had nothing in it.
Should it go in the "western Europe" folder which has 907 mB of files in it, I assume these are the map files.
If i put the cameras in the wrong place why do they show as pois in tt HOME which i thought would be correct? |

We're going round in circles a bit.
First - if you haven't already, ensure you have Windows Explorer set so you can see the three letter extensions (Tools/Folder Options/View tab - untick "Hide extensions for known file types)
- This will ensure you can see the WHOLE file name and let you check for any DOUBLE extensions (xxx.ov2.ov2 etc).
Next - check the filenames of the files you are copying are:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.bmp
etc. all the way upto...
pocketgps_uk_temp.ov2 and
pocketgps_uk_temp.bmp
and that you DON'T have them in a folder when you copy them into the map folder.
Finally - "The map Folder" you need to put them in is the one that contains "cline.dat" and "cnode.dat" amongst others.
Do all that and if it still isn't working for you then please download and install DriveZ and use it to make a list of the files in your map folder that you can post up here for us to look at. |
