bought a Tom Tom sat nav from these jokers
returned it under the sale of goods act (not fit for purpose)
and since then they have ignored all correspondence
next step court action lets see if they try to ignore that

I've used them a lot and never had any problems with their goods. Haven't had to return anything so guess I could be lucky as I haven't had to use their after sales.. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

A reasonable request from Catherine...do let us know as & when it's all sorted out. Up till now I've heard mostly good things about them. |

My Apologies
It turns out the special delivery parcel that the post office claimed to have delivered was never delivered.
This explains why I was waiting in vain for comformation of the return.
The post office claim to have delivered but didnt have a signature on the system.
After filling out the request for a proof of delivery it has come back with no proof of delivery.
So as it was insured I now have to claim on the insurance.
So again my apologies and thanks to catherine for help in sorting things out.

Beware Special delivery conditions. I got caught by these. The PO are not obliged to get a readable, or recognisable signature. When a vendor denied getting a return, I paid the £4:50 to get a copy of the signature. It was a straight line so useless. When I queried this with the PO I was told ... "The PO are not obliged to get a readable, or recognisable signature".... so not much use. The Co did find the return in the end, & Mr line had "signed" for it.... they just had no idea who it was...... but the PO said they had done their job if it had gone missing. Catch 22. |

I must agree.
It's great that a company takes the time to monitor sites such as this and is very proactive in sorting out customer problems / complaints.

I had the, now well known, 257... loading maps lock up problem with my Garmin 660. Got it changed by GPS in days. Great service.... unlike Garmin who wanted to charge to fix a brand new unit!!!! |

This is a real shame.
They used to be a very good company - possibly one of the best - but they were, earlier this year iirc, taken over by Expansys. Things went down hill from there in my humble experience and the diffenece in terms of of customer service and technical support makes me realise that I am no longer dealing with the same company. Awful. |

I bought a Garmin nuvi 760T from Global Positiong Systems (Expansys) when the model first arrived in UK last month.
They pricematched without any fuss and delivered within 36 hours.
So far so good. After about 2 weeks, they dropped the price by £90 which didn't please me too much! I phoned them and they agreed that I should return the unit for a refund and order a new unit at the new price. This I have done and although the refund process has dragged on a bit, it's all worked out well and I would buy from them again. Their communication has been good and they've been very helpful, especially as it must be their busy time in the run up to Christmas. _________________ Chris B

They offer price matching on the Garmin 60CSX
4 Days ago I asked them to price match with Ebuyer at £244.99 postage paid. At the time Ebuyer had 4 in stock. They are now down to 1 in stock.
To date they have not bothered to respond
What are they waiting for? Nil stock at Ebuyer so they can say they can't price match when they have no stock?
If they are unable to honour their promises on price match then they are certainly not getting my business.
GPS4less do as good a deal anyway. |

And don't overlook the fact that Global Positioning Systems is now just a trading name of Expansys who bought them last year. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
Yes, I've just tried to log on to their Forum (admittedly now little-used) and it (and the whole site?) has just been replaced by eXpansis with a small banner "in association with globalpositioningsystems".
