Far better is to go the OGG file route. Do a forum search on OGG and you get wodges of information. |

We don't use the data.chk method any more, we use the OGG files method now. _________________ Dennis

Hi
I always fancied new voices, but I thought it was only the computerised voices that gave you street names? is this not the case?

Carriejames, you are correct the computer voices are required for the announcement of the street names, but the POI Warning function can still use ogg files or the data.chk (where available) to announce Speed Cameras or other POI you want - with the 910 you can "Pick and Mix" between the various systems (Text To Speech, OGG or Data.chk), I still use the computer voice for warnings on my device though as I prefer a single voice type for all sounds emitted by the device - Mike |
