|
|
Hi
Had TT 5.21 working fine on O2 XDA Mini S working with Holux Bluetooth receiver for over a year now but have upgraded recently to an O2 XDA Orbit with INTEGRATED GPS Receiver.
Software installed without a problem but can anybody tell me how to pair it up with the internal receiver ? What ports do I use ? What device do I choose ?
Many thanks in advance |

Other NMEA GPS receiver, Baud speed 9600, Com port 4 - and the litlle yellow/ blue disk top right should start to spin, take it outside and wait for a fix - once this has been achieved subsequent time to fix should/ will be less - Mike |

Cheers Mike
Tried what you suggested but don't have a COM 4 only COM9, GPS Port, COM0, COM2 & Serial Port and have tried all of these without the yellow/blue disc spinning to show connection established.
Interestingly I also have an ASUS MyPal A636 PDA with built in GPS Receiver and it works faultlessly when other NMEA GPS selected and then COM5 - any ideas ??? |

Have you been messing around with the GPS applet in the settings options? - it should be:
GPS Program Port COM 4
GPS Hardware Port (none) Baud 9600
Manage GPS Automatically selected
this should work with the TomTom software - I use these settings on my Artemis and its fine - Mike |

Leave the settings alone in the GPS applet as this causes more confusion than is worth, you can use this to share the GPS data between applications running at the same time, but in practice I find its best left alone. Some devices are even shipped with this control hidden for this very reason, glad to hear its working now though - Mike |
