Hi All,
Can anyone help me please,
I bought a TomTom One V2 with westren europe maps, this was dropped and the screen was smashed.
I then purchased another TomTom one regoinal, thinking I could use the sd card from the damaged unit, but this will not work.
I have the product code card for the damaged unit, does anyone know of a way of using this card please.
Any help would be appreciated.

What actually happens/displays when you insert the WE SD card into your V2 GB? |

Hi Thank you for your reply,I have since found out that the western europe SD card is faulty ,it must have got damaged when the unit was dropped.
When inserted in the tomtom it shows it being removed and a red cross over it.
When I connect up to a computer and access the tomtom it asks if I want to format the card and no data can be found on it. |

It might be worth contacting Tomtom, reporting the faulty card and asking them to replace it. Its worth a try.
This also leads very nicely to the one thing you must do - take a backup both through Tomtom Home and Windows explorer of your new sd card.
In addition, buy another sd card - say 2GB in size - copy the original sd card to the new one. Then always use the new card in your TT and keep the original in a very safe place. Problems in the future can always be resolved by copying form the orginal card to a new sd card.
