I have just bought a dell tom tom 2 and serf star 2 package. only picks up 3 or 4 sats and they are soon gone ! 
I think the screen is coated, but there is a section behind the rear veiw mirror that is not coated and has a sort of mesh effect.
can I mount the mouse there and will I need to point the green light out wards or upwards or can i just stick the base to the screen.

Just answered my own question by reading other postings. Try it and count the bars, I did not know it would work that quick. I put it on the rear veiw mirror and got a instant result 7 bars from 0-3 on the dashboard.
now wheres that superglue  |

My wife has a 207 with the same problem. I've found placing the GPS receiver in the bottom right or lefty hand corner works fine, easier to mount it there than behind the mirror?
