Hi, I was just wondering what to do if you've forgotten your password, is there a way to reset by booting it to linux somehow?
Thanks in advance. |

Hi
You connect you tom tom to the PC and use tom tom home click on "my tom tom" and when the graphical ilistration of the tom tom screen comes up navigate to the password section and I think you can switch it off.

To change or delete the password, Tap 'Set Owner' in the Preferences menu on your device when it is not connected to your computer'. _________________ Richard

That programe just acts like Windows Explorer but on the Go's own screen. AFAIK, It can't do anything that Explorer can't. |

The difficulty here is that the password is designed to offer protection against theft or misuse. If there were a simple way of resetting it, it would be a worthless protection. Only by making it difficult/impossible to reset does the password offer any security. If you have all day to spare, assuming a 4-digit pin, start at 0000, and with luck you won't have to get to 9999 before it opens. |
