Hi,
I'm interested in getting tom tom Navigator 6, to use with my SE P990i, which looking at the forums messages should work (although tom tom still don't say :-() , but I was wondering which GPS device should I use, as the one from tom tom is pretty expensive.

But not knowing much about GPS devices, I might be looking at this wrongly, and I want to get something which will work all together, and there doesn't seem to much spec's on the tom tom GPS device e.g. battery life ..etc

Thanks for assistance,

I have the TomTomII GPS - it's slightly more than average price - but it is a good receiver with very good battery life - I have got around 10 hours out of it.

In any event I would go for a SiRFIII BT GPS unit. They are very good for this sort of application and there are lots about with a price to fit most pockets. You could pick one up on eBay without too much difficulty.

I have TTN6 running on a XDAII, I bought a Sirf Star III GPS receiver from e-bay for £29.99 and I have found it works fine and I get around 10hrs battery life. Here is a link
