I can guess this is a Navman GPS Jacket but what software are you using? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Is TomTom working OK? This normally suggests that the Navman Serial Driver is not correctly installed but usually this would then result in a non-functioning GPS?
You can download the driver here. In TomTom 1 they provided native support for the Navman Jackets. From Version 2 they chose not to, if you had upgraded from v1 then all was fine as the jacket driver was carried over in the upgrade. Fresh installations of TomTom2 require the installation of the Navman Serial Driver in order to use Navman GPS Jackets. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Is this dependant on tomtom. I have the same problem, and it appears when I attach the sleeve, before I start any SW. |

Not just TomTom, any app that needs to 'talk' to the Navman Sleeve should have this driver installed. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have the 3.1.6 driver installed (and re-installed), but it did not solve my problem. But it is not alsways I get the socket error message, this is very unpredictable, sometimes it works fine.
Any other hints?? Did the 3.1.6 solve your problem entirely and consequently?? |

Is yours a Navman Sleeve or one of the HP iPAQ Navigation or CoPilot sleeves? _________________ Darren Griffin |
