Have you unzipped the POI files and placed them into the Western Europe map folder? - Mike

That was fast response.

Good thing i used the search function. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=52194

I have 116 ov2 files in the O:\Western_and_Central_Europe Map Folder.

However, i only seem to be missing about 6 POI's i added... maybe i've not released the other missing ones yet.

Question is now, how can i get more than 100 or which ones to delete.

I have lots of foreign ones i dont think i will use, however, i dont want to delete them as if and when i sell it, i would like it to be how it was shipped from new.

Have you got a day one back up on the PC which should be a copy of the devices drive in its virgin state before you added to it. If so consider a re-install, when you say you have 116 ov2 files on the drive in the Western Europe Map you have gone over the limit of 100, so its not surprising the device is behaving eratically - work out which POI files you don't need (only you can do this) and remove them - Mike

Restore factory option will erase your settings but not remove the additional POI files you have added. I would suggest you do a full back-up now, before starting to remove unwanted files (just in case you delete the wrong ones), then get rid of the ov2 files from your map folder.

Next consider what you actually need on the device, the custom POI files from this site can be amalgamated into single files, for example Fuel - why bother where the fuel comes from be it Shell, BP or others? - Simple way is to combine the Fuel POI into a single category and install that. This action should save quite a few Custom POI categories - if you apply this principle to your other files and are careful to only install what you really need you should be able to stay under the 100 limit - Mike

luckily i have not made any changes other than afew settings and added a few POI's.

Now backing up 1%.....2%

I have also used Copy to Computer option.

Will then delete the Foreign POI's and should be done.

Thanks for all your help!

Before you go any further make sure you select a FULL back up as you will need the voices folders including the Loquendo TTS stuff copying to the PC - set it going then sit back and watch Top Gear for an hour (it takes about 45 mins to do a full back up) - but you must get the data on the PC - Mike
