Can you please provide some more details - what kind of GPS receiver are you using? The TomTom BlueTooth GPS? _________________ Lutz

Let's do it step by step, ok?
- on the 1940 make sure BlueTooth is switched on
- power the TomTom BT receiver on
- on the 1940 use the BlueTooth Manager to browse the neighborhood
- make sure it "sees" the BT receiver
- (not required, but doesn't hurt: Try bonding the two devices )
- tap on the TomTom BT receiver icon in the 1940 BlueTooth Manager, and then check the list of available services. One should say "Serial Port Profile"
- Link to that service
- Now open the TomTom GPS configurator (not the navigation program), uncheck the check box if it was checked, and select "NMEA 38400" and BlueTooth Serial Port COM8" (or whatever comes last on your list looking similiar)
- check the check box again
- go to the status screen and check if there are grey dots wandering , and if you see more and more grey and eventually red bars building up.
- once you have a 3D fix you can exit the setup program by tapping on the world map, and then you can start TomTom Navigator and all sould be fine.
Let me know where in this process your reality differs ;-) _________________ Lutz
