Hi,

I tried the Garmin camera download on my Zumo but as I didn't like the way it worked I decided to sign up to Pocket GPSworld for a year. I now have a couple of (probably) stupid questions.

How do I get rid of the Garmin download? I can de-acitvate it but can't find out how to remove it. Should I manually remove some files form the Zumo hard drive?

I have loaded the csv files using thr POI loader which seems to work fine but should I use the gpz file instead? I loaded the gpz file into Mapsource and it slowed down so much it was almost unuseable.

One thing the Garmin download does which the POI loader doesn't is only warn for cameras in the direction you are moving. Not a problem for me but might be for some.

I did try to search the site before asking but couldn't find anything so I thought I would ask here.

Thanks

Allan

you're better off with the csv files - you can use Ash10's or CBROM's utilities to change the alert times etc of the default ones are too long.

we have heading data in the master database but at present there is only the mio units that can use it. garmin, in theory, can (as you've seen in their database) but they're yet to release a version of POI loader that will accept heading data Sad
