I am trying to add waypoints created in Garmin Mapsource to my Nuvi 350. I am told to save the Mapsource as a GPX file and copy it to the Waypoints folder on my Garmin. This I do and then I unplug the computer lead. Garmin's instructions say that I will then find the file listed in My Favorites but it is not there. When I connect to the computer again the Waypoints folder is empty. What am I doing wrong or not as the case my be. All help greatfully appreciated. |

as far as i can remember what you do is generate waypoints on mapsource then connect you nuvi which should be recognised when you click the download icon on mapsource...you then simply download the waypoints.. _________________ *************************** |

Within Mapsource I select "Transfer" then "Send to Device" from the menus at the top. I select my Nuvi in the next dialogue box, make sure that waypoints is checked and then select "Send". You will receive confirmation that you waypoints have been sent almost immediately. Unfortunately you cannot send routes or tracks to a nuvi. |

Great thanks for the info. I wish Garmin would make it clear which units will not take routes. I will now experiment with saving the waypoints. |
