Hopefully this is a good place to ask...I installed TomTom 6 on my PDA. The box says "pre-installed safety cameras". This is the second DVD I've had now, from two different companies. Both don't install the cameras. When I installed TomTom to my PDA, the cameras aren't there. I contacted TomTom customer service and they told me that "some DVDs didn't have the cameras put on the DVD by mistake" or words to that effect. So, they were made available as a download for me. I've downloaded and installed them now, even though on TomTom's website I was asked to enter a code that encrypts the cameras or something. I never did this but the cameras have still been downloaded successfully anyway. Odd?

My main concern is whay aren't the cameras on the DVD? Two DVDs now!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, I think TomTom have explained why the cameras were not present on the DVD - give them a try for a while (a few days) then consider the alternative Speed camera database from this site which has a number of better options:
1/ More upto date contents
2/ Better categories of each camera type and speed
3/ Configurable warning distances
4/ Spoken camera warnings (much better than beeps and bongs)

Having tried both offerings I know which I would trust - Mike

I dont know why, but I would take them off again and use the database from this site, it is much better, loads more cameras. You need to subscribe, £2 a month, or £19 a year.
