I use Memory Map on my PDA, but i am thinking of getting an N73. What options do it have? I don't want to buy the same maps all over again, is there any software for the N73/Symbian which can use these maps?
If i can't, even with the hex editor work around, what are the best OS mapping options for symbian phones?
Thanks. |

As far as I know there isn't any topo mapping products for Symbian. I don't believe that MemoryMap publish their map file structure :D You've come up against the problems with electronic mapping - the copyright is very carefully policed and you are basically paying for the mapping rather than the application. Even though the information is basically the same you can't load Anquet maps on memory map (for example) |

There is this for Symbian phones - http://www.viewranger.com/
I am sure there is a 'way' around it (like the hack to use 2004 OS maps with MM '06), i shall keep looking. |

I stand corrected! Interesting product but people tend to upgrade phones and having to stick with the same O/S could be a bind - unless they allow you to 'upgrade' to different Symbian Versions
I still think you can't see enough of a 1:25000 map on a 'phone to make much use of it though :D |
