I saw liquid stamps from the inside of nuvi's screen :S

About a week ago i drove to stansted airport the night that snowed everywhere and it was freezing cold. I did a 4 hour journey because of the snow and when I arrived at the airport i noticed a small square are in the middle of the screen that you could actually see liquid stamps from the inside of the screen, You could only see it only if you were holding it at a certain angle. This made me quite worry and i was ready to phone Garmin but when i got home this stamp dissapeared! Is this something normal because of the cold/humidity or should i worry about it?

it could have been humidity from the cold air being warmed up by the heat generated from the satnav?

Garmin's spec for the nuvi says minimum temp is 0 degC so take care!

It is almost certainly caused by the screen cooling down then getting warm again. There will be a very thin gap between the touch-sensitive top layer and the LCD screen; this is the most likely culprit. You may have been seeing the touch-sensitive 'wiring' in this top layer.

now ya see, the good old non-touchscreen i3 has an operating temperature of -15oC - 70oC

so, is fancy techonology an 'improvement'?!
