TT1 home 'My One' problem

Have just downloaded speed camera database and also set pin code on my V2 TomTom one. Now when I connect to TomTom home I cannot get the 'my one' function to work - when I try to turn it on with the mouse pointer I get a fatal error message saying 'Navigator failed to initialise (data.chk error)'. How can I fix this?

Sounds like you have a problem with "data.chk". (No kidding! ) This is the file which contains the POI alert sounds.

Which speed cameras did you download? TomTom's own or PGPSWorld's?

One of the ways of getting real voice alerts for the PGPSW camera database is to replace the data.chk file with a customised one, but there are many versions and you have to choose the one which is correctly matched to the software version of your TomTom. Get the wrong one and the unit will crash or fail to boot up.

Does this ring any bells?
If so, try replacing the original data.chk from your backup (you have got a backup haven't you?)

If this doesn't apply to you, I'm afraid I'm stumped...
