Just a very quick question, I've tried to find the answer in the "Search" area with no success.
On the Google map, what is the significance of a grey camera icon? For example GATSO:5270@60 on the A1 "Berwick-upon-Tweed" by-pass. |

I think they are cameras which used to be there. I think "they" keep it in the map for a while after it's been removed just in case it needs to be reinstated (or perhaps to keep a history of the universe or something 8O ).

and yes, they are camera's that have since been removed - i.e. to show people that we know the camer is no longer there so people don't resubmit again and again that its been removed!

I thought it was a POI which was requested for removal but required confirmation.
This is based on some POI i have requested removal but they are now just greyed out. |
