Flip the unit over. Next to the docking connector is a small reset hole. It's very small and easily missed but grab a pin, insert into the reset hold and press gently for a few seconds. Then remove pin and switch on.

I have the same issue.

card 1: 128Mb with original maps (work fine btw)
card 2: 2Gb with Western_Europe

My Tomtom Go with card2 starts up with yellow background and a red cross over a blue card. Must be smth wrong with the data on the SD card, as card1 is working fine.

Funny thing is that when using TomTom Home with my TT connected, i can see my TT starting up (in My GO) and i can navigate without any problem. But when i start my TT standalone, again a blue card with two hands and a red cross.

I still haven't figured out what went wrong. In my pc, card2 is recognized flawlessly, so no hardware error on sd card.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you have all the files? In windows explorer, make sure you have turned off 'Do not show hidden files and folders', 'Hide extensions for known file types' and 'Hide protected operating system files'.

Please have a read through THIS the issue you have with the 2GB card could be related to the speed of the card, not all SD cards are of the same quality, if the speed is too slow the device will reject the card and fail to start - Mike

Finally, my issue is solved. Bought myself a new SD card.

In the end, smth wrong with the SDcard itself, altough Windows detected the card without errors. Copied all data from card to a brandnew card and my TT started up without problems!

Thanks for the tips! TT is picky what concerns SD cards tough.
