I have followed Instructions to downloading the speed camaras onto my tom tom home which i thought it was to easy to just down load somefing unzip then copyto a place on the tom tom, but i followed the instructions and still it does not work. i downloaded the file i need from the speed camara which was the UK-single file with all cameras. i copied this to the drive where my tomtom was and into Great_Britain_map. then tried to use it and didn't work. Is there anything i have missed something i have to do on the tomtom itself? if you need any more information i will be glad to give it toyou. and thanks in advanced for any help given.

FDirstly, do you realise there are two different versions?
You mention "Home" at the top of your post (and there is a special version of the camera files to install using Home), but then you go on to say you've copied the files yourself.
IMHO, that is the best and easiest way to do it, but you do need to download the "ov2" version of the files instead.

What you download is an archive of several files, called "pgpsw-speed-cams.zip". DO NOT copy that file, you need to extract the contents.
If you've got Windows XP, just double click on the file and select "extract all". Make a note of where it says they will extract to.
If you chose the single, all-in-one file, you should get 5 files.

It is the .ov2 and the .bmp files that you need to copy into your "Great_Britain-map" folder. (By the way, get used to being very careful with the names of things now. Exact use of capital letters and hyphens can make all the difference between success and failure with TomToms!)

Once you've done that, and can see them sitting there with Windows Explorer, disconnect the Go and let it re-boot.

You then need to "Enable" the file on the Go Main Menu / Change Preferences / Manage POI / Enable POI category. Scroll down the list till you find it and tap it to put a tick beside it. You will then see the cameras on the main navigation screen. To see them on the "Browse Map" screen you need to Tap the Options button at the bottom, ensure POI is ticked, then tap the POI button at the bottom of THAT screen, scroll through and tick the camera file again.

To get visual and audible warnings you need to go through the set-up for "warn when near" in the Manage POI menu too (for EACH file if you had chosen one of the "split up into type or speed" options).

Finally, don't forget you can run a "Demo" of a route past a camera to check it all works (keep the speed around 200%), without having to leave the house!

Try a 30sec Reset to see if it will force the Device to re-read the Data.
