Hi,

Anyone looking for a good map program I could recommend MapSonic from ViaMichelin.

http://www.pda.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/swi/swicontent.nsf/html/prespalmENsonic

I've tired both Mapopolis and MapSonic and must say that mapsonic has a nicer interface and a better way to handle maps.
If I wanted I could install whole Scandinavia on my palm and map out a trip from northest Sweden to the southest point in Denmark. The only thing I would need is a bigger Secure Digital card (around 385MB for Scandinavia). So with mapsonic you can view maps stored in the memorycard. Thats what makes it great!
The drawback is that you people that live outside europe won't have much help from this program since its Europe only.

In Mapopolis (as far as I've seen) you need to free up main memory to use maps. I haven't been able to view a map directly from the memorycard. As soon as I want to use map mapopolis transfers the selected one to the main memory, and then launches it. So on my palm T|T I can only put in maps that are around 8-9 MB big (my free memory atm). But mapopolis has one advantage. Its much faster (and has maps over europe AND the US). When you scroll the maps it moves really smooth.

I'm supprised that there is so little info about MapSonic in this forum. So, if anyone has missed out MapSonic give it a try.

You should see a lot more info soon as it's currently under review.
