hi
i am the recent proud new owner of a tomtom one with uk maps.
I have noticed that there are downloads for new poi and i was wondering if these would be better than the poi on the tomtom. one catagory such as fuel stations i already have them on the tomtom but the ones available for download would they be a better option? say if i did download all fuel stations would i then have to delete all the fuel stations already installed on the tomtom?
hope someone can advise
many thanks |

many thanks | The POIs that TomTom include are "frozen" when they make up the map set. They will only be changed when a new set of maps is released (payable!).
Even if the PGPSW POIs are not better NOW (I've no reason to believe that to be the case, just playing 's advocate), the PGPSW will be updated steadily (daily?).
You cannot easily remove the existing POIs. _________________ Jock

it is a 'live download' system where by you get whatever is in the database at the time of download. so if you download it at 11am and again at 1pm chances are there will be differences if oldie has been working on it.
