Okay, this morning I had PocketGPS cameras set to 500m with some nice ogg files. The same with the Tom Tom database set to 250m with some nice ogg files. This afternoon the Tom Tom database has vanished from the POI bit, still on the map, but now bell ringing, ogg still there, but silent!!!!!
What have I done, well updated the Tom Tom to latest version and got the Tom Tom to update the cameras. Apart from that nothing. I see on the menu a camera section, so I can turn the bells off. The ov2 files have another file called ov2.ver, well that I have noticed.
Had a look on the search section, but none the wiser to what I have done, anyone point me in the right dirction?

Lots of discussion on this already if you have a "search".
Basically, TomTom decided (for some bizarre reason, only known to themselves, as far as I know!) to change the way they handle their own camera datafiles. They are no longer set up in "Manage POI" but in the "TomTom Plus" menu.
Also, you now CANNOT change either the alert sound or the alert distance.
If you think it's daft, please e-mail them to say so, it's the only way anything might ever get changed.

Thanks for that. I did a search after I posted and found a couple of posts on this subject. It makes no sense that I can think of, I much prefered the way I had it before, with the ogg file attached it worked a treat. Driving into town last night I got my PocketGPS alert, nice man telling me the camera type and speed limit, then followed by a siren from the Tom Tom database, nearly took me off the road :x
I will write an email to Tom Tom about it, have you an email address that gets it to the right place?
