Yes, slow down!
Sorry, couldn't resist... Actually, no, I'm afraid there is no way to do this (other than slowing down!) |

thanks for the reply, honest!!
so the goons i see fly across four lanes to take an exit at the last moment are using a TTone!!
even in 30 travelling at 25mph(honest) its at the last moments/at the turning?
or late at the roundabout turn off?
how accurate are the satnavs positioning? as i always seem to be 20m in front of indicated position? |

No they are simply stupid!
Go to Change Preferences/ Speech Preferences and make sure "Disable early warning instructions ("ahead turn left") is NOT selected, this way you will get a prompt on the motorway around 2 miles prior to the actual junction (if at speed that is) - it also works on non motorway roads, if selected you will be on top of the junction before hearing any instructions
As for the accuracy I find the device is spot on, usually within a couple of meters - Mike |

The device I have here is slightly different so the option may or may not be on your device to make sure you have all menu options available go to Change Preferences/ Show ALL menu options select this and then press the Continue button - now look for the Speech Preferences icon within Change Preferences - Mike |

The Option to 'Disable/Enable' early Warning Instructions is a Function of TTS, and is in the Change Voice Menu.;) _________________ Richard

I can't find this on my TT1v2Europe even with all the menu options shown. The change voice menu allows me to do just that, and only that. _________________ Henry |

Henry, my mistake as Richard says this menu option is for devices equipped with Text To Speech functionality, so you will only find it on the Go-910 sorry for giving out a wrong lead - Mike |

just noticed that using the "new" firmware and "new" maps whereas before on approaching a motorway junction you used to get "Exit ahead" at 1.2 miles -- it is now at 1.4 miles...
same speeds etc... before anyone says owt !!
sometimes a little confusing in a multi-exit area...
Or is it just me?? _________________ Happy to meet -- Sorry to part -- Happy to meet again |
