garmin i3 and speed cameras

I have a Garmin i3 but it doesnt alert im approaching a speed camera untill I am on top of it. I have set the distance alert to 70ft. Can anyone help?

Sorry, I don't have a Garmin so can't tell you how to change the distance setting but 70 ft IS on top of it!!
Here's a chart (from the beginners' guide) of the distances in YARDS to give you 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds warning at each speed.


I use the 20 seconds column...
