I am looking to get a POI database with all the speed humps marked as owning a low car (nissan skyline R33 lowered 65mm) and having great difficulty in using roads with speed humps.

1,How would i create a database with this info
2, What software would i need so i could make the unit avod these roads if they were on a route. Like the BridgeX software you can get for lorries.

Thank You

Not sure where you live but in London the intention is that all non A and B roads will have humps before long. :x

I can't think of any Sat Nav that allows you to set this many avoids. The easiest way to avoid them is to use the "Quickest" or "Fastest" route (ie via man roads) and never use the "Shortest" route.

Here in North Kent you don't need speed humps, the roads are bad enough as it is. Sad

Shouldn't they be called 'slow' humps? :P

It may well be that your car has been 'over lowered' (I don't know what the legal position is) and that you will get little sympathy. However, some time ago, I did manage to get some humps lowered because they were catching on the exhaust of an (unmodified) Ford Orion. While it is legal to install humps, provided that your car is road legal - they are not allowed to damage it in any way.

If it turns out that the humps are too high, they are negligent, and as such responsible for any damage caused as a result.

Looks like the owner of the URL above hasn't paid his bills - the site is unavailable. :D
