TT Nav 6 on a Palm Treo 650

I just received TTN6 for my Palm Treo 650 (Bluetooth GPS). I have a few questions that I can't seem to get the answers to after hours of scouring the 'net.

The first problem I have is not being able to get my choice for a night color scheme to stick. I go into preferences and select a day (Brittanica) and night (Brittanica) scheme. If I exit the app and go back later, the night setting is set back to Africa. Any idea as to why this happens? It seems that selecting Antarctica, Africa, or Astra sticks, but none of the others do. Are they not meant to be used as night settings?

Also, where exactly are the TT settings/preferences like this stored on the Palm version? I ask because I removed the app from the SD card using HOME, reformatted the card, reinstalled TTN6, and many of my settings were still in place.

The other issue I'm having has to so with the PLUS services. If my phones network connection isn't established, TT will usually connect. So I go and check Weather and then return to TT. If I go back to any of the online options, I get a message:
