Hi datsun120y,
Welcome to the forum,
You'll need at least a 512mb card, I presume you have a 256mb card, in which case even if you delete the old map, you won't have enough room. _________________ Go Classic

Don't be embarrassed asking We were all beginners once!
You need a new card. Make sure it's fast enough. Some of the very cheap cards are too slow and won't work. One of the "known" brands like Kingston or SanDisk should be OK.
Online purchase is a lot cheaper than a shop at the moment, it seems. I got my card from www.mymemory.co.uk but there are several online sellers out there. Their own brand card looks quite fast. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Hi datsun120y...
Most peole here would be VERY interested if you have found a "free maps upgrade" on TomTom Home.
The software updates are free, but maps are normally always chargeable.
Can you give more details of what you have actually downloaded and how, please? |

Hi Andy, and Everyone, Had an e-mail from TT says you can download the new updated maps at 20% discount or, if you purchased your TT within the last 6 months, you would be entitled to a voucher on condition you sent them proof of purchase, did so and couple of days later received another e-mail with a verification code. You then went through the procedure in TT home as if to buy the map, entered the code and downloaded the new map. Don't know if it's anything special but this is what downloaded.
UK and IE major roads of W.Europe. toc + GB postal teleatlas 603toc. Hope this makes sense Me like a fool just thought you had to download it straight into my TT, Thats when it said not enough space. |
