Hello every one.
This is my first post?. I have been given the 510d for Christmas, now what I have gone and done is downloaded Garmins free 90 day camera software, then found this very good and friendly site
with alot of helpful people.
My main question is can I down load your camera software and run it on the 510 with out problems. Also there does not seem much mention of the 510 in the forums?
Many Thanks

Welcome. Yes the database works fine from here. You need to use the garmin 'POIloader' version, having first loaded the garmin drivers and POIloader on to your computer. Then make a folder on your computer to put all your Points Of Interest including the camera file from here in, poiloader will then download the contents of that folder to your C510. Lots of other POI's are available from this website:

You are right Paul - I've hunted through the past posts and there is not too much on the C510, which I am being tempted by at its current price of £140 from Dixons, especially when the I3 is not around at the £90 or £100 mark, as it has been recently. |

Hello mrjon102,
Having only recently purchased the 510 D I I am still discovering its potential. So far no problem - I have followed the instructions and it has performed as it should.
I have downloaded the free garmin police camera software and installed it without any problems and have also ascertained from their support team that the download also included info on mobile camera locations - despite not finding any reference to this in the info supplied by garmin's website.
Hope this helps- many thanks.

Thank you sir - I've just ordered one (without the D - we don't require the additional functionality of the D) and hopefully be with me for Xmas.
Will post my thoughts when we've got it up and running! |
