Hello everyone...

Like I said in my previous post, I just purchased a Go 510 and I noticed last night the POI database doesn't include stores. I tried Wal Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy you name it.

Is there a problem with my unit or did they take out store POI's? My Navigator 5 had all the above mentioned stores in its POI database.

Thanks in advance!

Bryan

Hi Brian,

You need something like this http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtompoi.php. Better still, grab a copy of POIEdit and set it to download your chosen POIs to a folder and copy to your SD card.

Think yourself lucky... In the UK we only got a couple of dozen "Partco" car parts shops (which I'd never heard of) and Harrods, IIRC!

Ok..

I went to Circuit City today and played with another 510 alongside a Go 910.

I entered major busineses including Wal Mart, Best Buy, Safeway's you name it in the 510 and nothing came up but when i entered the same into the 910 they all had POI's associated with them.

So it is confirmed, the 510's POI database isn't the same as the 910's... It is not complete. Even compaired to the the Navigator 5.

I promply returned my Go 510 for a refund.

Unfortunately my bandwidth has been exceeded. My apologies. Bound by my own success. Rolling Eyes

Looks like I'd better be looking at setting up my own site. If any others have problems with access, perhaps you'll let me know. Please.

Oldboy I am getting the same message.

"Temporarily Unavailable

The Tiscali site you are trying to reach has been temporarily suspended due to excessive bandwidth consumption.

The site may be available again in a few hours!

Are you the owner of this site?
Please read Terms & Conditions on bandwidth usage. "[/b]

Richard,

It looks as though you've exceeded your monthly limit. If its just a popular month you should kind things return to normal next month but, it may be time to consider moving your web site to one with a larger monthly bandwidth.

What sort of traffic do you normally get?

I've had to move one of my web sites to an American host who allows an enormous amount of bandwidth for a good fee.

I'll send you the details if you are interested.

Bodger

They give a daily Bandwidth. Then it only goes off till Midnight and I'm back again.

First time it's happened. I suspect it's the Software Versions that were causing the problem. They are quite a few MB per D/L.

If it happens again I'll make the change.
