Hi
I get the following error.
Application TomTom Navigator.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
Program: TomTom
Navigator.exe
Exception: 0x0000005
Address: 000b2c6c
I use AN Ipaq 3850 with Windows CE 3.0
TomTom have advised me to re-install which I have, several times including maps.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to fix this issue I would be most grateful. |

Several things can cause this:-
1) corrupted install (requiring a complete uninstall, manual deletion of directories and files, then a clean reinstall)
2) corrupted storage card, running a disk check and defrag may resolve (check out Storage Tools)
3) too many POI's in your country directory. Browse to the country directory on your storage card, and delete a whole load of OV2's and corresponding BMP's and try running again. |

Hi Dave
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I am currently trying Number 1 of you suggestions.
Number two is not applicable at this time as I do not have an external storage card.
Number three looks interesting. Where will I find the 'country' directory? Had a look when trying to manually delete all the files etc but could not seem to find it.
Thanks for the help. |

You normally have a directory called something like \Great Britain on your storage card, but I'm not sure what/where it will be in main memory as I have never installed just to main memory. Basically the directory should have some OV2 files in it. |

Thanks Dave
All fixed now. The first suggestion was the one that worked. |
