Hi Guy's,
I currently use Navigator 6 on my HX4700 however I will be changing car soon so think it's time for the GO 910.
I plan on using the official Nokia carkit (wired) but would like my TomTom to connect via Bluetooth only for GPRS so weather and traffic work. I don't want to use the TomTom as handsfree. Does anyone know if this is possible, ie, once paired to the phone is it possible just to use the phone for data. If the phone rings will it ring on the TomTom.
Cheers,
John |

Does the car you're planning on buying, have the option of a bluetooth kit ?..if so, go for it....even if, like mine, it's a relatively expensive option compared to the thing you stick in your ear....it cuts across TT nicely, albeit briefly...mutes the radio etc....reccomend it..(if available) |

Hi Mike,
The car kit is the Nokia CK7W which supports both Bluetooth or wired connection to the phone. I am going for the wired connection as it charges the phone and has an external antenna and like you said mutes the stereo in a call.
I posted originally as I never wanted the sound coming from both my car kit and the TomTom if I paired it to the GO. I only want to use the Bluetooth on my phone with the GO for weather and traffic.
Thanks, and have a Merry Christmas.

John, in answer to your question, yes. The hands free and bluetooth data services are wholly separate options and you can choose to use you phone for data only very simply. _________________ Darren Griffin |
