Been messing about with my GM270 Rolling Eyes

Was switching between Sirf and NMEA and it mow seems to not want yo respond to anything.

Has anybody got any advice? I'm not too bothered about it as i have other receivers but after spending money on it, it would be nice to get it going again

You may have switched it to a different baud rate that wasn't supported by the GPS, sometimes it'll switch back next time you connect on some GPS Receivers, or sometimes you have to re-connect under the new setting and manually switch it back.

Some are more breakable than others, but I haven't seen any problems with the Holux.

I was messing around with GPStweak and it just seemed to die. Managed to connect through Winfast Navigator and switched it back to NMEA.

Still, you dont learn without playing with them Wink

Whats the best settings people have found for the GM270, mainly for using TTN2, for GGA, GGL, GSA, GSV, RMC and VTG?

I usually run with GGA=1, GLL=0, GSA=5, GSV=5, RMC=1, VTG=1, MSS=0

Thanks, tried them settings last night after reading this and the tutorial and it seemed to work quite well. Is GLL not needed? I tried switching that to 1 and it didnt seem to make any real difference. Also tried everything except MSS set to 1, but couldnt see any real benefit either.
