Hi all.
Apologies if it's been asked before
I'm off over the channel to Brittany next week :D
I see that UK mapping on my i3 covers that area.
Has anyone used the UK map for that area, is it any good
Cheers

Hi Zogman
I'm happy with what it does over here, think it might be worth taking anyway. Any help with the nav is welcome.
Thanks for your thoughts

luster, sat nav is really helpful abroad ...it helps you keep your eyes on the road and other traffic...i used my i3 whilst driving around calais and it helped when we visited boulonge and dunkirk ...its all street level mapping as well so you can explore the side streets etc.. _________________ *************************** |

The i3 covers quite a bit of the coast and some way inland. To see what it covers go to the area (you'll need turn off GPS to do this, in the settings menu). Once you're over the channel zoom the map view out until you see a grid of boxes, areas within these will have street level mapping. _________________ Chas

Excellent Bumpkin thanks for the heads up :D
It's certainly going with me now, quite a bit of coverage on a "UK" map.
Cheers |

Another thing to point out is that even though your UK i3 may not have detailed coverage all the areas you intend to visit around Brittany, it does have all major roads etc. as part of the basemap. _________________ Garmin i3 gone (sold on eBay)

Used my I3 over there last year. Street level right down the coast quite a way past the bridge at St Nazaire. Nice little extra for "free" over Tomtom. |
