For some reason my TT ONE has just started showing a "File Access Error" when I select Post Code for a destination, so obviously somethings gone wrong.
Problem is, I haven't used the post code setting for some time now, so I don't know how long it's been like this.
I think possibly it's happened since the v6.520 update, but not sure.
Everything else is working okay including selecting a destination from a address setup and including cameras, voices etc. (everything)
I have tried reinstalling from several previous backups but that doesn't cure it either.
Although the system would certainly have been working okay when most of the backups were made.
Yes, some of them "may have had the fault on them", but not ALL of them.
Although I have manage to get it back working okay from a copy of the "original" SD card, but then lost my customised menu.
So without having to re-create them, has any one any ideas please.
Thanks. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it)

Haven't seen that error, but as a work-round, why not just put it back as it was, connect to the PC and copy off your menu .mnu file, then go back to the backup that works and copy the menu file onto that?

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the reply.
I have managed to find a fairly recent v6.150 backup that works.
Which seems fairly reasonable, I say fairly reasonable because the only problem there seems to be is with the sounds in the data.chk file, but I'm not bothered with those so that's no problem (they are now just extras).
Like most things where electronics etc are concerned, who knows what, where or when the problem arose, I have probably been carrying forward the same problem in the backups, only as said before, I haven't used the post code facility for some time.
But thanks again for your quick reply. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it)

Just as an up-date for anyone interested.
I reinstalled the backup as said earlier.
Then did an update with TT Home, which replaced the correct sounds (bells and whistles) in the data.chk file.
And hey presto, back to normal.
So the only conclusion I can come to is that for some reason the Post Code file in the Zip directory had gone faulty. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it)
