Tomtom One (v1) + Memory Map

Hi all,

I have all the Memory Maps version (1:50k and 1.25K) and was wondering can I install the maps straight onto the Tomtom One and use it like that?, If not what would be the best way of using something portable and can store MM maps and use that instead of paper maps? if you know what i mean!!

To be honest the easiest way to have a single device running multiple applications is to use a PDA. They can be loaded wit multiple software packages and maps, look for one with a built in GPS as this makes life much easier.
If you fancy scripting something to use memory map on the TomTom it might be possible, but is the device good for battery life when away from the power supplied by the car, the PDA option is easier to charge on the move, and more importantly keep dry - Mike
