Garmin TMC module

As you guys may have heard, us TomTom owners have been having a pretty rough time with their new TMC receiver.
As you lot have had yours for some time, we wondered how you are finding it? Is it working fine, and particularily - did it work well from day one, or did it need lots of tweaking or software updates before it was satisfactory?

The GTM12 I have with my Nuvi 310D works great, the biggest problem in the early days was noise from the charger supply, those using part number 6025 leads shouldn't experience this problem.
The one thing that plagues TMC in the UK is signal strength, which is variable depending on location, my unit works well in most areas across the country where I have tried it. The Garmin interface requires manual intervention to trigger a re-route, not something I like, but the TrafficMaster data is generally very good - Mike
