Help needed with new kit for Toshiba 570

Hi

I have a toshiba 570 pda with pocket 2002 and a blur tooth sd card

can someone give me advice on what GPS and sofware will work with my pda, as most only quote newer models

I was thinking of tomtom 2 and a Leadtek 9532

but both the hardware and software do not list my pda ?

what else would you suggest ?

is a wired conection the right way to go as I will only need it in the car ?

and I would like somthing that charged my pda as well

The Toshiba is actually a pretty decent device, with ARM 206 MHz processor and 64 MB RAM. Pretty much every navigation program for Pocket PCs (including TomTom) should run on it very nicely.

As for the connection - you will have to check if the 570 supports serial devices or if it is USB (I don't know this device, so I could only guess) But if you want a "charging" solution then yes, serial or USB would be the way to go.

If you can charge the PDA with a standard cigarette lighter charger then you could also go for a more contemporary BlueTooth solution. Works well in the car but also outside ! And since the Tosh has a CF card slot as well you wouldn't have problems to store your maps and use the SD BT at the same time.
