|
|
I just got my TomTom6 DVD this morning for my PDA.... lovely sexy shaded UI but where is the screen rotate button!
I'm using a Mio 168 and I don't like using the nav software in portrait mode becasue it just doesnt look as good and feel right.... I've e-mailed TomTom about it and just waiting for a reply...
Would be greatful if anyone could advice me on this because I might as well go back to version 5.....
Cheers!

There is no screen rotate in Navigator 6 it uses the default settings from the unit itself
Therefore you have to rotate the screen before you start Navigator

You need to upgrade your mio168 to 2003se OS, you then use the OS to rotate, it is quite easy and a vast improvement which means you also read spreadsheets easier, and easier to see widescreen films easier,I have set rotate on one of the buttons and just flicks over when needed, big improvemnt over ttn5,no need to go into menu, see this tutorial for instructions:www.abuzant.com/od/2006-05/mio-168-firmware-update-tutorial.html |

Mikeact,
I agree I also think portrait is superior, but occasionly find need for wider view, but surely nice to have a choice, I think the upgrade gives far more benefits than just for TTN6 |
