I have two 310D's at the update 2.9 one worked fine but the other won't finish the update and keeps loading and loading. If i don't power off at exactly the correct time I lose the whole system.
I have now tried the latest 3.3 version and still have the same problem. My settings tell me I have only 3.1 installed. One interesting difference is that in settings the GTM SW version states N/A and the other says 3.7. I assume this is the traffic??
Garmin told me to update the software .....if only!
Anyway help anyone |

Davok,
I updated to V3.3 yesterday and the nuvi took a long time to complete the boot up once switched on. It got stuck on software loading and I thought it had frozen BUT I left it and it did boot up OK.
Might just have to wait a bit longer for it to boot up.

Just updated mine too and after unplugging it from the computer, the update and boot up took just over 2mins. After that it boots up as normal in a couple of seconds.
The 1st boot up on an update is always alittle slower then normal whilst it updates the software |

With software versions upto v3.2, the GTM version number (yes, it's the traffic module) was only displayed if a traffic module was plugged in and working - with v3.2 onwards the version number is displayed irrespective.
Hence why the one still on v2.9 / v3.1 will not list a GTM version.
To be honest, I would contact Garmin and ask them to lead you through the process to delete the XML file that holds the information on which firmware is installed - by deleting this it will force a reload of all firmwares, which may well sort out your problem. However, as I'm unsure if there are any particular things you need to do first to ensure it doesn't completely break your Nuvi, I recommend you do this only with Garmin leading you through all the necessary steps. |
