Can't make my mind up between the above devices.
Basically I need a small device for use mainly in the car but
occasionaly out and about, and for easy removal.
Decent routing (Obviously!), in UK and Ireland
Decent TMC (Apparently the Garmin is the paid-up for life Trafficmaster
system, whereas the Mio is the freebee data, is there any difference ?)
Bluetooth for handsfree phone.
Easy to update speed camera info.
Good POI searching.
Both are available for roughly the same price so cost isn't really an
issue.
Thanks for any help !!

drlargepants- I have a Mio C310 and I absolutely love it. It is more than just a GPS, you can hack into it and change how it looks make it run other GPS sofware. The C710 Is the same with TMC and Bluetooth added. I don't know about gramin I have never used one.
I am in the US and I have no problem with the included maps, although they are outdated. Mio is said to have better maps for Europe than USA, and Mio will be updating the maps in the coming months. |

I've been using TTN for last couple of years (on an Acer N50) and been very pleased, but have just acquired (via employer) nuvi 310.
First impressions are that the routing and instructions are OK, works with camera database, and the bluetooth handsfree is good.
To be honest I prefer TTN, but the combination of satnav and bluetooth handsfree drove my employer to take this route (we also tested TT Go, and the Garmin was the preferred option).
It's a good price, go for the nuvi....
Drawback - my arms aren't long enough when it's mounted at windscreen centre - (where I'd prefer it) - but OK at right side (in VW Golf) _________________ Acer N50 << sadly died, RIP : Holux 236 : TTN5.21
