|
|
I have just 'upgraded' my TT5 to full Pcode search.
I thought that it would ask me the no of house after the input of the postcode, but it seems it is still in old mode, by showing the list of code of just the first 4 input lettere/figures as before
Have i missed something, or am i looking at the kings new clothes? |

First of all are you entering the postcode in the correct area, go to Navigate To/ NEXT PAGE and select Postcode, it is only this area that allows you to input full postcodes. _ Mike |

Yes, I went to the Postcode icon and it has (on my Dell Axim)
Postcode at top (with flashing cursor, the next section down shows previuos addresses with up/down arrows at RHS
then there is the numeral section (two rows 1-5 and 6-0 underneaththe the letters in Alphabetical order
I input the code and the address part then shows the part postcode
eg i input pe38jd and i get
pe38 0 (downham....
pe38 9 (Downham...
pe3 6(peterborou...
pe3 7 (peterborou...
I thought that it would ask me the house num,ber after inputting pe38jd.or am i expecting too much?
Will put another request on as my PC (XP) wont or cant open this file
pocketgps_uk_sc.ov2 which is 357kb |

I don't know how you 'upgraded' to the Postcodes, but did you also put a Folder named TomTom in the Root of the SD Card. It can be empty. _________________ Richard

Have you got the 'zip' folder containing the 'Great_Britain.postal' and Great_BritainPostal.ver' files on your memory card? |

wiz wrote: | cant find a zip file | Its not a zip file it is a Folder in the root of the SD card named zip, your postcode file resides within it. Pop in your map CD and under the option to install maps is a check box to install Postcode (easy missed), select this and the relevant file will transfer to your device - Mike |
