IPAQ 5900 New Map Problem

I have the new HP Ipaq 5900 travel companion pre installed with the Nav 6100 and North American Maps . I have purchased the European Maps and have been able to get the Navigator to recognise the new maps. I have tried to install the maps directly on to my device as well as onto an SD card and although everything seems to install I cannot get the navigator to see anything other than the North American Maps. I do not even get to the activitation stage. I have also tird using Tom Tom Home to install th emaps which it has done but again with no joy with the navigator recognising them. I take it to change themaps you go into manage maps and switch maps.

Just for info I have contacted Tomtom support and await an answer. I would be interested to know how anyone else has got on with this new HP Ipaq ?
