The One NE is great & has the sirfstar 111 chipset. excellent reception, but only 2 hours battery life claimed. (not checked).

Hi Russ/Mike. I'm in the same position. Is there anything the Go300 can do that the One can't? In other words will I lose anything by changing to the One?

1 ) Active mount (power on/off with ignition)
2 ) Bigger/better speaker
3 ) Double the battery life
4 ) Erm... |

I have seen the GO 510 for £265 from Dixons... i know its not go the FULL EU Maps, but its got the Major routs and you can just purchase the maps for the cities you require....
http://www.dixons.co.uk/product.php?sku=758874&camp_id=ppc_tomtom
I think its worth that extra bit for the bluetooth handsfree.... the wider screen, better procesors and ram...
however it depends how much EU driving you do i guess and how much you want to spend...
I went from a Go 300, to a GO 710... a mate of mine has the NEW One and its no where near my 710 for speaker proformance, screen etc... but you get what you pay for..

"Navigate all of Ireland"
my 300 does that and the entirety of western europe.. plus wherever else i stick the maps for in it..
okay its fun to buy new toys but i still cant see the one as being an "upgrade" for a 300..

The Dixons ad states that it has got "detailed maps of uk and Europe". Is that true? |

Bazzza | It only has Major Roads of Europe, with detailed Maps of GB. _________________ Richard

Thanks oldboy,
It still looks like if I'm going to change at all it needs to be at least to the 510, not the One.
