It may not be COM8. Try the other COM ports , for example COM6
What COM port is used in Mapopolis? _________________ Lutz

On my iPAQ h1940 I use the NMEA 0183v2 Bluetooth setting on Serial Port COM5 and it works perfectly with my GPSmart. |

When I tested the GPSmart I used the Emtac Wireless driver or NMEA 4800 and in each case used com8.
You should find that the 221x, 55xx, and the 3x70 iPAQs will all use COM8 for BR GPS communications. _________________ Mike Barrett |

at times today the software has been quite eratic, showing me on the wrong street. i will try to tweak the settings after reviewing the forum.
