Garmin Streetpilot i5 suddenly doesn't light up anymore.... rendering it pretty much useless at night. Anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I can do or do I have to send it back to Garmin for repairs? (Or is there so "turn backlight on" switch that I somehow missed?)

As the back-light is not an 'option' i.e. you can't turn it on or off in user settings I'd say that this a major failure in the unit. Therefore suggest going straight to wherever you bought it (if still in warranty) for a replacement or fix. Go to Garmin if you are outside your retailer's warranty. _________________ Garmin i3 gone (sold on eBay)
